Most disease of the kidney attack the filtering units of the kidneys—the nephrons—and damage their ability to eliminate wastes and excess fluids. Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is the presence of kidney damage, or a decreased level of kidney function, for a period of three months or more.After 6 years of work at UK hospitals in Kidney, Liver and Pancreas transplantation, he resigned from the UK Government job to return to Nepal. As Kidney Transplant Surgeon and Chief of the Kidney Transplant Unit, Bir hospital, carried out nearly 100 kidney transplants with ‘World Class’ results in the cheapest price. He still holds registration of General Medical Council to practice in the UK. Recognising his contribution on Organ Donation and Transplantation, the government of Nepal has recently awarded him with an Excellent Health Service Award 2012.
