Two organisations of Chitwan district working in the field of children have been provided with financial support. Nepalese, living in Australia, provided more than Rs 500,000 financial support to Adarsh Griha and Hamro Ghar. The Nepalese associated with Chitwan Samaj Australia and Nepal Australian Youth Association provided the financial support. Programme coordinator of Adarsh Griha Mina Kharel said that the Griha was provided with Rs 329,000 and Hamro Ghar received Rs 200,000 financial support. Adarsh Griha has been protecting and rehabilitating helpless women and children and Harmo Ghar has been rehabilitating street children. There are now 21 street children at Hamro Ghar and 23 helpless women and children at Adarsh Griha, added Kharel. The organisations said that the financial support would be spent to look after the children and women taking shelter at the organisations. Kharel thanked for the support and pointed out further support in days ahead.
