Leaders of various political parties have suggested the Prime Minister not to sign any deal against national interest during his visit to India. At an interaction organized by Reporters’ Club in the capital city on Sunday, CPN-UML Vice-Chairman Bhim Rawal said the Nepal-India relations are intimate. The PM should not sign any agreement that jeopardize national interests, he urged. However, he said the government should be serious on making a clear stand relating to border with India. “The construction of fast track must not be awarded to India, and while making report on Pancheshwor Project, Nepal’s interests should be ensured,” he stressed, adding foreign interference on domestic politics is a bad omen. On the occasion, Nepali Congress leader Dr Narayan Khadka said there was no point in making hue and cry over the PM’s India visit, because such visits are normal and regular. He suggested the PM creating an environment conducive for investment. CPN (Maoist Centre) leader Barsha Man Pun said the person who has been the PM with votes from parliament won’t sign any agreement against national interest. He expressed hope that PM Pushpa Kamal Dahal’s visit to India would help create political trust between the two countries.
