Sorry worship, as long as I am Prime Minister Prachanda timroaghi television is not open:
Chairman of the CPN (Maoist-Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal has been elected Prime Minister for the second time- also the second Prime Minister after the country ushered in Federal Republic. He garnered 363 votes in the election to the post of Prime Minister held in the Legislature-Parliament on Wednesday and got elected as the Executive Chief. Of the 573 lawmakers present in the Legislature-Parliament, 363 voted in favour of Dahal while 210 voted against. Dahal, who led the armed revolution against the system for a decade from 1996 to 2006, was supported by the biggest political party Nepali Congress to elect him as the PM on majority votes. Interestingly, Dahal had launched the armed revolution when the Nepali Congress was in the helm. Over the course of time, his party went through severe transformations- decided to quit the armed insurgency by striking 12-point deal with the parliamentary political parties, backed up the 19-day People's Movement invisibly but significantly, participated in both the constituency assembly elections , and participated actively in the parliaments, shunned the armed politics by shunting its fighters to the national security and signed for the new constitution promulgated on 20 September in 2015, thereby becoming one of the significant political forces in the country's peace process. It is said none is forever a friend and nor a foe in politics- Dahal and his party was tagged terrorist by then Sher Bahadur Deuba-led government in 1996, while the same leader, the Nepali Congress President, backed Dahal to be the second communist prime minister in the country's history since turning a federal republic. Moreover, Chairman Dahal also assisted CPN-UML leaders Madhav Kumar Nepal, Jhalanath Khanal and KP Oli to be prime ministers. However, he could not gain support from the UML to become the PM this time. Although the Maoist party was the biggest one after the first CA election, it lost its public trust gradually which rendered it to the third position in the second CA election.
